University Carillonneur, Lauren Bradley Mellick '05
Lauren began playing the carillon as an undergraduate student in 2003 and took over as University Carillonneur in 2006. She majored in Spanish, minored in Music and graduated from Wake forest in 2005. From 2005-2008, she maintained a full piano studio of approximately 50 students before joining the Undergraduate Admissions Office at Wake Forest as Assistant Dean of Admissions. As a classically trained pianist, she enjoys playing Classical music on the carillon but has a particular interest in late 19th century and early 20th century composers. Her recitals will also include a fair number of popular tunes as well.
Assistant Carillonneur, Raymond E. Ebert Jr. '60, SMM '62
Ray graduated from Wake Forest in 1960 and from Union Theological Seminary in 1962. He was organist at Centenary United Methodist Church from 1970 until 2011, and organist/choir director at Temple Emanuel since 1968. He accompanies the Divinity School Choir and sometimes plays for dance classes at WFU. Since he is a Moravian, you will sometimes hear Moravian touches in his carillon recitals.
